We’re looking for a Paint Shop Labourer to join our busy powder coating department. This role is ideal for someone who is hardworking, flexible, reliable, and willing to work overtime when needed. A positive approach and a willingness to learn are key, as training can be provided for the right candidate.

As a Paint Shop Labourer, you’ll play an important part in preparing products for powder coating, including rubbing down, cleaning, and general preparation work. You’ll work closely with the powder coating team to ensure high-quality finishes are achieved and production runs smoothly.

Main Duties

  • Prepare products for powder coating, including rubbing down, surface cleaning, and general preparation.
  • Support the powder coating team with loading and unloading parts for painting.
  • Check parts before and after coating to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Assist with handling and storing powders and consumables safely.
  • Keep the paint shop clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
  • Follow production schedules and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Support colleagues across the department to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Carry out general labouring tasks as required to support the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a paint shop, powder coating, or similar environment is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).
  • Good practical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Flexible, reliable, and willing to work overtime when required.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.

This is a temporary to permanent position

Rotating shifts

Monday to thursday 7am to 4.30pm - Friday 7am to 3pm

Monday to Thursday 9am to 6.30pm - Friday 7am to 3pm
